THE CASTLE WORLD

The visual identity draws inspiration from the heritage of the castle walls – combining understated elegance with a contemporary, web-optimized design. The site visually preserves the identity of one of Slovenia’s most iconic landmarks, while prioritizing usability: bilingual content, responsive design for mobile devices, and a clear content structure that ensures quick access to key information – from historical background to opening hours. Throughout the project, our goal was to offer users a simple yet rich connection with the castle’s story.

One of the most distinctive features of the website is the interactive map with 360° panoramas, allowing users to virtually explore the most iconic parts of the castle, such as the Upper Terrace, the Castle Well, and the Wine Cellar. This innovative functionality is more than just a visual enhancement – it is a vital tool for engaging a broader audience with the castle experience. It allows users to appreciate the architectural and historical value of the site before visiting and to plan their visit with greater clarity and motivation. In doing so, the website goes beyond its traditional informational role and moves closer to the concept of an accessible cultural space.

In addition to historical content, the website features a clear and functional interactive event calendar. Users can quickly access the current schedule, view details of upcoming concerts, exhibitions, or medieval experiences, and filter events by date or theme. Special attention is also given to the archive – visitors can explore past events and discover the traditional programs that return to the castle each year. The website thus not only informs, but actively encourages planning visits and returning again.
