When it comes to products like handmade chocolate, trust in quality and reliability of the online presentation is essential. A study on online consumer behavior, published in the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services (2010), emphasizes the importance of a tailored user experience for products that are sensitive to seasonal changes and transport conditions. That’s why, for the Molinet chocolate shop, we designed a website that not only visually aligns with the brand identity but also functionally responds to weather conditions and logistical challenges—one solution addressing two key user needs: clarity in ordering and reliability in delivery.

The visual design of the site reflects the nature of the product—thoughtfully crafted, handmade, and aesthetically impeccable. We used Molinet’s brand colors, elegant typography, and minimalist elements that highlight the products and the story of the chocolate shop’s origins. The rich, detail-oriented imagery quickly immerses visitors into the world of Molinet—a world of chocolate made with care. Additionally, we ensured a clear content structure that connects users to the brand from the very first click. The website is thus not just a digital catalog—it is a digital experience through which users feel the essence of the Molinet brand.
A Seasonally Adaptable Website
Molinet.si is not a typical online store—its key feature is seasonal adaptability. During warmer months, when chocolate shipping is more challenging, the site transforms into a request collection platform. This allows customers to place orders or inquire about the offerings despite the limitations. In colder months, the full shopping process becomes available, enabling products to be easily added to the cart and purchased online. This transition occurs seamlessly, without the need for major manual adjustments, ensuring smooth operations throughout the year.
A Simple System, a Better Experience
One of the major functional upgrades of the new Molinet.si website is the optimized inquiry submission system. Before the redesign, communication with customers took place primarily through private messages on Instagram and Facebook, which created numerous challenges. With the new website, we established a centralized system that gathers all inquiries in one place. Visitors are greeted with a simple yet thoughtfully structured form that dynamically adapts to the type of product or request. This ensures that users can quickly and intuitively provide all key information (product selection, quantity, preferred date, special requirements).
