SPA THROUGH THE LENS

Through the lens of three destinations – a story that says more than a thousand words

Research on the emotional impact of visual imagery in tourism promotion confirms that authentic stories and high-quality production significantly influence destination perception and travel decisions (Nature, 2025). In collaboration with Sava Hotels & Resorts, we produced photo and video content that showcased three unique thermal destinations through video, voice, and photography: Terme Ptuj, Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice, and Zdravilišče Radenci. Each destination has its own character, but they all share a common goal – to connect with their target audience.

From Concept to Execution

The project began with a clear vision: to create a campaign that presents each of the three destinations in its own unique light while forming a cohesive narrative for the Sava Hotels & Resorts brand. Over the course of six shooting days, our 16-member team visited all three locations and crafted a visual story aimed at two key target groups: families with children and senior couples. We handled model selection, the formation of filming crews, and the coordination of key professionals – from stylists to makeup artists. Every frame, scene, and moment was meticulously planned, from early morning lighting setups to on-set logistics. Based on the unified identity of Sava Hotels & Resorts, we also developed the overarching slogan: The Most Beautiful Day. Every Day. This slogan ties all three destinations into one consistent communication story.

Photography – Capturing Stories at Sunrise

Under the creative direction of photographer Žiga Intihar, we created a high-quality image library for all three destinations. Each series reflects the spirit of its location: the Roman flair of Ptuj, the playful energy of Prekmurje, and the serene healing atmosphere of Radenci. We captured a wide range of motifs, from outdoor pools, slides, and open-air activities to hotel room interiors, wellness centers, and saunas. The models played a key role by creating an authentic vacation atmosphere through genuine interactions. The photographs are designed for versatile use, from print catalogs to digital channels, and their warmth and aesthetic clarity forge a strong emotional connection with viewers.

Video – Summer at the Spa

Three places, three personalities, one shared story: summer at the spa. For each destination – Terme Ptuj, Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice, and Zdravilišče Radenci – we created a standalone TV commercial, conceived as a short cinematic moment that transports the viewer into a world of relaxation and fun within seconds. The focus is not only on the stunning surroundings but also on the feelings of joy, relaxation, refreshment, and amusement. Professional voiceovers, visually strong storytelling, and dynamic editing come together in ads that stand out for their aesthetic appeal. We filmed in both horizontal format for TV and online platforms, and vertical format for social media use. This provided the client with a long-term, versatile archive of video content. Each spot targets its specific audience, yet all communicate the same message: summer is more vibrant at the spa.
